ROBOWhizards return from World Festival

The ROBOWhizards returned from Atlanta tonight with a Team Spirit award!!! This is the second time since 2003 that the ROBOWhizards have won the Team Spirit award at an invitational. Their match scores were 365, 360, and 325. They also got rejudged in mechanical and programming

ROBOWhizards Power Puzzle Robot

The ROBOWhizards will be in Atlanta, GA, April 16-19 competing in the Georgia Dome at the FLL World Festival with 82 other teams from 26 countries. The ROBOWhizards are scheduled for practice runs on Thursday (April 17) at 10:35 and 11:45. On Friday (April 18), they will compete in Match 9 at 10:55, Match 24 at 12:25, and Match 38 at 2:20. ROBOWhizards 23 Team Shot at Pittsburgh

On November 30, the ROBOWhizards drove out to Pittsburgh to compete in the state competition the next day. On the competition day, they were very successful. They went home with 1st place programming and - the Champions award! They are now SO excited about going to the FLL world festival in Atlanta, Georgia in April. This is the fifth year that the ROBOWhizards will be attending the World Festival.

The ROBOWhizards did very well on Saturday, November 17th at the Lansdale Power Puzzle Tune-Up. They took home the trophy for third place robot performance.

ROBOWhizards Team 40 at Lansdale

The RoboWhizards had an amazing showing on Saturday, November 18th at the Lansdale Catholic Tournament. They won the "Brilliant Performance Robot Performance Award" for having the robot that achieved the highest average score in three of the five competition rounds. Their robot's performance was so exceptional that no other team scored as high as even their lowest score. The RoboWhizards also received the "Outstanding Project Award" for their research project that is seeking to utilize a commercially-available nanotechnology-based water filter to provide clean, affordable drinking water to communities in the Democratic Republic of Congo.

ROBOWhizards 96 at the Georgia Dome

The ROBOWhizards, Team 96, after an outstanding win at the Upper Darby State Tournament, attended the world festival in Atlanta Georgia, winning the 2nd Place Creative Solution Award.

ROBOWhizards to Hold Open House

The ROBOWhizards FLL Teams will hold a robotics open house at the Newtown Square Public Library on March 18, from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm. The RoboWhizards will be giving hands-on lessons about building robots as well as demonstrating the robots that they built for this past year's competition. The open house is free and open to the public, so bring your friends & relatives. The library is located at 201 Bishop Hollow Road, Newtown Square, Pa. 19073



ROBOWhizards Win UD State Tournament

ROBOWhizards 96 after winning Upper Darby

The ROBOWhizards FLL Teams 95 & 96 participated in the Philadelphia Alliance Pennsylvania State Tournament, held at the Upper Darby High School by Upper Darby's FIRST team, the Royal Assault. In another stunning performance, the ROBOWhizards won both 1st Place Robot Performance and the top award, the Director's Award, along with the 2nd Place Technical Award. The ROBOWhizards Veteran Team #95 won the robot side of things with a score of 355. They also showed their building and programming skills, taking home the 2nd Place Technical Award. The ROBOWhizards Rookie Team #96 was deemed the overall best team, and given the Director's Award. This earns them an invite to the FLL World Festival, which will be held in Atlanta, GA, in April, and will include teams from around the world.
